1/2 or 1 stick butter
c2 brown sugar packed
2 eggs well beaten
c2 all-purpose flour
tsp2 baking powder
Pinch salt
tsp1 vanilla
c1/2 coarsely chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 8-inch square pans. Melt butter and add sugar in large mixing bowl. Stir until blended then add eggs and beat well. Add the flour c1/4 at a time. Then stir in the baking powder, salt vanilla, and nuts. Pour into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until firm to the touch. Cut into bars before removing from pans.
Makesabout 36 bars.
Note: I used butterscotch bits instead of the pecans. It brought out the butterscotch flavor.
