1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts (I left these out...nut allergy!)
1 cup applesauce
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup veg. oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Mix all liquid ingredients in one bowl
& all dry ingredients (except nuts)in another bowl.
Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients & beat until smooth.
Stir in 3/4 cup pecans.
Spoon into greased loaf pan.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 pecans on top.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from pan &
continue to cool on rack.
