4 to 6 pounds pork loin roast
1/3 cup Mott's Applesauce
1/3 cup Grandma's Molasses
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, crushed
Have meat retailer loosen chine (back) bone. Place roast, fat side up, on rack in open roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer with bulb in thickest part not touching bone. Roast in 325 degree oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until meat thermometer registers 170 degrees. In saucepan, combine applesauce, molasses, ginger and garlic over medium heat. Brush pork with glaze every 10 minutes during last half hour of cooking. Serve pork with remaining applesauce.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
