For the crock pot
1 1/2     pound beef round steak
2         tablespoons all-purpose flour
2         tablespoons cooking oil
1         teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules
1/2       cup hot water
1         cup shredded carrot
1         teaspoon sugar
1/2       teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
2         tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2       teaspoon salt
1/2       kitched Bouquet
Cut steak into six equal pieces; coat with  2 tablespoons flour.  In
skillet brown in hot oil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Place in
 crockery cooker.  Dissolve bouillon in hot water; combine with carrot,
 sugar and thyme.  Pour over stak.  Cover; cook on  high-heat setting for
 4 hours.  Remove meat to platter; keep warm.  Measure liquid; add water
to make 3/4 cup.  Pour into saucepan.  blend 1/4 cup cold water into 2
 tablespoons flour.  Stir into liquid; add salt and Kitchen Bougues.
Cook and stir till thickened.  Serve over meat.  Serves 6.
